What Good is in Gratitude?

Hello, sunshine!

Next week I’m back into the BBC radio studio to talk about relationships and self-confidence, but today I wanted to share a podcast where I was interviewed by Georgian Benta on the Gratitude Podcast: How we can enrich our relationships by expanding out gratitude.

Gratitude is all or nothing in building self-esteem and creating healthy & conscious relationships. We either have a lot of gratitude and then our self-esteem & relationships thrive, or we have little of it, and as a result our self-esteem and relationships flounder.

The big question is ‘How can we have more of gratitude?’

Here are my 3 practical tips on increasing gratitude:

  1. Use 5:1 ratio. 5 positive interactions and thoughts on each negative.
  2. Open your body more. Physiology is instrumental for experiencing gratitude. Looking up rather than down. Open your arms and smile… It’s that simple.
  3. Introduce a gratitude routine. Share 3-5 points of gratitude every morning about the previous day. Cherish and appreciate small moments you feel thankful about.
